Data protection and privacy/confidentiality

Our sessions are fully confidential, but should you tell me you want to harm yourself or if you feel threatened by someone else, I will need to breach the confidentiality by informing a third party such as your GP or the police. I will always let you know should that be the case.

Under the GDPR regulations I am allowed to collect information about you upon the legal basis of ‘legitimate interests’ for the purpose of healthcare. Your information is stored safely. I may use this information to track the progress of our work and to help me to discuss our work with a clinical supervisor for reflection and guidance. I will always ask for your consent if I want to discuss our work and share your information with my clinical supervisor.
